Library Advice
We support your school with professional library advice and library audits. This includes a library visit, discussions with your literacy team and recommendations on how to improve your library and the reading offer in school. This is offered free in your SLA or can be purchased separately.
Warehouse Visits
Teachers are welcome to visit DLR to discover the breadth of the resources we provide, and find out more about the service, as well as to select your own books and resources. Visits can spark imagination and enthusiasm and inspire teachers to make better use of the resources on offer. We can also accommodate small pupil visits if required, for example book clubs.
Take over Durham Learning Resources for the day!
We can offer a limited number of our popular Take Over Days for small groups. Take Over Days allow children to experience the world of work and try their hand at stock taking in the warehouse, selecting resources and organising a delivery route, giving our staff a well-earned rest! There is a charge for this activity.
