Book Bunch
We recently launched the Book Bunch, a book subscription parcel to promote reading for pleasure targeting specific pupils in school, for eg, pupil premium. A member of the book bunch can receive a termly Book Bunch parcel including a brand a new book along with enjoyable activities to develop comprehension. Book Bunch packs can be bespoke, tailored to ability and are delivered to school as required.
Curious Kids
A book subscription specifically designed for looked after children containing fiction and non-fiction books, fun activities, and special gifts, delivered to them at home. Curious kids promotes reading for pleasure as well as helping the children build their own personal library.
Fiction Express
An interactive ebook platform with books at different levels suitable for independent readers up to year 8. New books written by real authors are released each half term with the first chapter written and the children get to vote each week on how they want the plot to unfold. Fiction Express includes comprehension quizzes, literacy activities with each chapter and enables teachers to track what their children are reading. Fiction Express is free with a Durham Learning Resources SLA or can be purchased separately.
