Important information on Multi Function Device (MFD) contracts

Multi Function DevicePlease note that Konica Minolta are our only approved provider of MFDs (also known as photocopiers) for schools and academies.

Any schools or academies who choose an alternative provider will need to be aware that they are now bound by that provider’s terms and conditions.  If you do not have a copy of your MFD agreement with your provider, you are advised to obtain a copy as soon as possible and before the arrangements are due to expire.

Several schools whose agreements have expired or are about to expire have approached us for advice due to the significant financial termination penalties involved.

Even if you are subject to significant termination fees on expiry, Konica Minolta are still able to save you a substantial amount of money over the duration of the new contract. You can also be safe in the knowledge that Konica Minolta have signed up to our standard terms and conditions which will help to protect you should an issue arise, e.g. our terms and conditions protect against termination charges at the end of the contract.

For advice about our framework for MFD’s please contact Louise Moran, Konica Account Manager on 0191 500 8440 or 07884 562523, email: louise.moran@konicaminolta.co.uk.

We understand the critical role schools, academies and other public sector organisations have in the fight against COVID 19. As a result of national guidance, many of our staff are working from home but are available to support customers via telephone, conferencing, portal or email. We may have to reduce support in some non-essential areas, therefore, if you are unable to contact us through your normal communication channels, you can contact us through our Customer Services Helpdesk on 03000 26 0000 or by email commercialservices@durham.gov.uk
