The Easter plans electronic resource pack supports the 2020 Durham Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.
These materials can also be used by those schools and academies that have adopted the Hartlepool, South Tyneside or North Tyneside Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.
The Easter Plans for the 2020 Durham Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education resource include:
A whole school approach to teaching about Easter in RE
Seven individual plans for EYFS and Years 1-6, that include teaching resources and supplementary notes for teaching colleagues
Headteachers script for a whole-school assembly
In response to the current situation there are also suggestions of how the whole school approach to the teaching about Easter can be adapted to offer a remote or blended learning approach and identifies the key content or core knowledge to be taught to allow for progression. These suggestions can also be used within the classroom if there is limited time to deliver RE when schools reopen in the Spring Term of 2020-21. They also ensure sensitive issues around Christian beliefs regarding Easter are adapted so to be appropriate for remote learning. The ebook also aligns the Christianity programmes of study and the benchmark expectations from the new 2020 Durham Agreed Syllabus to the legacy Easter plans.
The electronic resource pack includes a presentation in MP4 format and the Easter plans in a Word document.
After purchase, you will receive a link by email that will enable you to download the electronic resources. Please allow one working day to receive the electronic resource pack.
