Free water audits that will help your school reduce waste and high bills
Wave have partnered up with SaveMoneyCutCarbon to offer schools in County Durham free water audits that will help not only save money but cut down on water waste, helping reduce the impact on our environment.
Who is Wave?
Wave is an award-winning national water retailer, formed from Anglian Water Business and Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) Business. With extensive industry expertise, Wave supports over 300,000 businesses, from councils to construction, hairdressers to hotels, in reducing water use, cutting costs, and becoming more sustainable.
They also play an active role in improving the water market, working with industry groups to make things better for customers. Whether a business uses a little or a lot of water, Wave offers everything from billing support to practical solutions that reduce waste and protect the environment.
Making Every Drop Count
Water is a crucial resource for us, our ecosystems, and for our environment to survive and thrive. The more we use, the harder it becomes for rivers, reservoirs, and underground sources to naturally replenish, putting increasing pressure on the environment.
With funding from Northumbrian Water, this partnership is offering FREE water audits to schools across the Northumbrian Water Limited (NWL) area, including County Durham.
The audit entails a contractor, with fully enhanced DBS checks, attending the property out of hours to carry out initial leak tests, They would also complete:
- Water use and waste check: assess how much taps, toilets, urinals, and showers are being used and identify leaks or areas of waste.
- Quick fixes and smart upgrades: install simple solutions like tap aerators and water displacement devices, plus carry out immediate fixes where possible.
- Detailed report and recommendations: they will prepare a full report with upgrade suggestions, estimated investment, savings, and payback information.
