Sarah Lee “braves the shave”

I’m sure we can all relate to the horror that comes from a cancer diagnosis, whether it be a friend, family member or yourself, cancer is a terrible disease that we are all very much aware of.

As a team, the Macmillan charity is very close to our hearts as some of our close friends, family and colleagues continue to battle this horrible disease. However, one thing that has shone through has been the care and support that Macmillan have been able to offer.

Last year, in the ICT office, we raised a good amount of cash at the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. So, this year our MIS Team Leader Sarah Lee wondered what she could do. She said “After a lot of contemplation, which I have the luxury of (it is not forced on me), I decided to Brave the Shave”  The shave took place on Saturday 26 September and all of Sarah’s family, friends and colleagues are super proud of her strength and braveness to go ahead with this for such an amazing charity.

Sarah originally aimed for a total of ÂŁ500 but sharp exceeded this. Her total has grown to ÂŁ2450.00 which was so much more than she ever expected. Sarah wanted to extend her thanks to the MIS team and work colleagues who supported her through this challenge.

Sarah received a lovely email from the Little Princess Trust thanking her for her hair donation and I think I am speaking for everyone when I say a huge well done to Sarah, let’s get planning next year’s fund raiser!
