It’s Energy Savers Week from 19-25 January, an ideal time to remind everyone to try to be more efficient with their energy use, this week and hopefully every week of the year.
Energy costs are a significant part of a school’s budget. At Durham County Council, we support hundreds of our schools through the Energy Management Service Level Agreement. We provide support with billing and queries, actively helping them through training sessions and in-school support. This involves working with pupils and staff to understand their energy use, costs, and wider environmental impact.
If you’re on the Durham Energy Management SLA, why not take some time this week and visit the Energy Manager Live Portal and check your heating patterns to make sure they are working as intended.
If you’d like to find out more, visit our dedicated schools website: https://eco2smartschools.org.uk . If you’d like some specific in-school support this Energy Savers Week, please get in touch with the team through the website or contact your School ECO2 Officer directly. Remember that small changes can add up to big savings over a year; many are low-cost or no-cost.
