Peterlee Leisure Centre has now fully reopened following the refurbishment and alterations we have undertaken.  The revamped centre includes a new unisex changing village, incorporation of the library into the leisure facility, replacement of roof coverings and removal of asbestos.

The works contract commenced in October 2018 and was completed in May 2019.  The building works have been delivered by our in-house Construction Service team, supported by local contractors.  In addition, we have been able to provide valuable construction industry experience to local young people by working with East Durham College’s Engage Programme.
